13/4/19 bognor trip report
« on: 13 April, 2019, 17:14:40 »
Just back from a sunny but cool Bognor and what a place--seeing is believing -there is something for everyone from the 2p pushers to the £2 big boys in the 18+ section.
Arrived just past 10 with Dan to greet me and Dave to follow with some flippin' lovely donuts yumm.
Saw chris who came by half hour later for some project/mpu3 fun.
Started on a jpm monopoly--10 nudge feature straigt away for jpot- beer guide was generous too with a reel skill for a £15 top, nice. A rare BFM scorp 1 called shadow which is like spectre but different winplan which I played and liked most. Sampled most others including popeye/pyramid/fairground/pot o gold/spinwall/vegas nites/moneytalks/corrie street/bar x/slot idol. . . . Loads there and all on various jpots depending which section you choose. A real proper seaside arcade that was busy when I left--best result today was big breakfast £10 which did streak for around £40.
Big thanks to dave dan chris amelia --It was a false start in March but you got that place humming nicely now and will only get busier once word gets round and as summer approaches.
Distance no object when it comes to playing at reelfruits and Mr P's :)

Good to see beer guide is up and running. Definitely something I'll play on my next trip.

Yeh, I must agree with Geoff.
Firstly,thanks for today.
Must say the arcade is very impressive and
Very smart and filled with many classics.
Was hopeful of some Line up lol.
But there was plenty to play for my first trip.

First played for me were the Projects.
Hit the Six,Crazy Pays,Sevens and Mellons.
Battled with Crazy Pays after a flying start
But got 4 holds on the Jacky eventually.

Rovers Return gave me a nice £31 top feature.
Had some goes on the scorp2s as well.
Rollercoaster played well for me too.
Got a 30 odd streak out of Blue Moon.

Put a couple of quid of 10s in a pusher as the
5er was on the edge, but I didn't win it lol.
Big Shot and Smash and Grab got some plays too.
Had a brave bash on Casino Crazy clubber for a few
quid. I used to own one a few years ago.
I ventured into the over 18 big boys but ventured out
as fast as I went in lol.
But that's just me really and hope Dave understands
they really ain't my bag at all,but no disrespect to those
who enjoy them.
Also,I had a quick blast on Vegas Nights for an
almost instant top board albeit for a 7quid tops.
Still fun though.
Nice to see Dave to have our chat which was
encouraging and much needed.
I know it's only early days so I will just say for now...
After my chat with Dave,
The plans you have for the future sound very interesting and
I look forward with excitement for whats to come
in the way of classics for us more senior players.

Thanks to Dave,Amelia and Dan and the rest of the team.

Ha,had to call Geoff for directions as well as I couldn't find the address on your web page Dave.
Nice catching up too,so hopefully a visit in the summer months is on the cards, especially if I am teased with some 80s action.
Keep those reels spinning guys👍

All the best
Chris

PS,was hoping to be greeted by the Parrot lol.

Cheers for the reports. Canít wait to get down myself for a good old session!

Had to lol at Chris venturing back out the adult over 18s as fast as he entered! ;D not overly my cuppa tea but thatís the great thing about the new arcade, it caters for absolutely everyone.

Two videos from today chaps.

https://youtu.be/8WMBNveefn4

https://youtu.be/G9Arprtt3kE

Fancied doing more vids but the songs playing in the background were a bit loud tbh and
cause copyright law issues when uploading videos
onto YouTube as you need a licence to broadcast and have copyright permision to upload.

If I'm honest,I think I'd prefer much lower music and higher volumes on the machines for the natural
arcade sounds, especially with some machines having attract mode sounds as well.
Here's where that parrot comes in lol.
And place your bets type machines etc.
I suppose that's why I do commentary on my vids.
To block songs playing in the background.

Sounds like a great day.  Sounds like the arcade is coming on well, will only get busier as the weather warms up. Just a shame such a distance all good either way 👍🏻

:) in fairness theres some decent games in the newer over 18s section. It has the red alert, Camelot, king of and a few 25 crests. Theres the top slot 3 player and party time player and a decent few 25ers like the nudge wink. Not forgetting the £6 roll.

Yep theres a few 500s and newer games too. I haven't played them yet but theres still a decent classic lineup even in this newer area!

I'm hoping to make it there next Friday if anyone is gonna be about. Bognor is great for me. I need at least an 8 hour block to get any decent playtime in maidstone and that's really rare for me so I haven't been able to make it there for well over a year.

I've made it an hour to bognor 3 times already. Time I'd have probably spent taking a punt in the local arcades.
