An overseas Hello
« on: 07 October, 2015, 17:43:00 »
Hello,

My name is Rogier, I am from the Netherlands, and I have a collection of fruitmachine's from the '80s and '90s and a few from te '00s. I think this is a fantastic hobby and I am very interested to read interesting stuff and always want to learn more. Also it is great to be able to look for info when there is a malfunction.

Bye,
Rogier

Thanks guys for your welcome. My fruitmachines are from the Dutch market. The theme is often inspired from English succesful machines. A few of my machines:

Barcrests:

Your collection is fantastic Rogier. You must have spent some time collecting these.

Is there a lot of collectors over in the Netherlands?

Thanks DaddyAl84, there are no many collectors in the Netherlands, I am befriended with another collector who has a really large collection. I know of a few others who I don't know personally. For the rest there is a fair amount of people who have interest in one or two machines at home.

What lacks in the Netherlands is the interest in maintanance by the larger amount of people who have one or two. I think it is because they see it as a novelty and they don't want it to cost too much.. A lot of machines are being eaten by battery corrosion while stored in the shed, which is a shame...
